Beginning Nov. 6, view updated permanent exhibits about the Spanish Legacy in the Coastal Bend. Discover early trade routes of Native Americans and European explorers. Examine Mexican colonization and the Texas Revolution through the experiences of Victoria’s founders and citizens.

Artifacts include a gorget, or throat armor piece, found at Fivemile Creek in Dewitt County. The unique brass pendant raises a number of questions about European contact and Native American trade in North America.
