KIDStory Saturday - Texas Ranch Life

  • Date(s): August 13, 2022

Saturdays at MCB this summer, kids and families can discover Texas history and explore the stories of kids in the Coastal Bend from prehistoric times through today. Participants will gain insight into the daily life of a different group of children -- indigenous inhabitants, French colonists, Spanish missionaries, and early ranchers. Best for kids (and kids at heart!) ages 5+. All supplies provided. Suggested donation $5/participant to assist with supply costs. Pre-registration not required.

Aug. 13, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Texas Ranch Life: Visitors can take part in activities that would have been part of a kid's typical day on a Texas ranch -- create a brand, rope a cow, and make butter in a mason jar. Enjoy a special visit with the Chick-fil-A cow and Andy the Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse!

Presentations:

12:30 & 2:30 p.m. Life on the Cattle Trail presented by the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum
