The Museum of the Coastal Bend

A new temporary exhibit is opening this fall titled, Sunken History: Shipwrecks of the Gulf

In Sunken History, view shipwreck artifacts and treasures, side-scan sonars, and photographs and learn about the technology used to discover the wrecks featured in this exhibit.

Sunken History will be on display from September 7, 2017 to August 11, 2018.

Victoria’s Museum of the Coastal Bend serves to archive and interpret the history and heritage of mid-coast Texas, and it also offers up something that no other museum has– the centerpiece exhibit of seven French cannons discovered by archaeologists while excavating the Fort St. Louis site near Victoria.
